1. The Service
Bokly provides a peer-to-peer book borrowing service through the Bokly iOS app. By using Bokly you agree to these terms.
Bokly lets you list physical books from your personal library and lend them to nearby users for a fee. The current loan price, lender payout and Bokly platform fee are shown in the app before a request is submitted or accepted.
2. Accounts
- ✓You must be 18 or older to create an account and use the payment features.
- ✓You must provide a valid phone number before borrowing or approving borrow requests.
- ✓You are responsible for all activity under your account.
3. Borrow Flow and Payments

| Request | Borrower reviews the current price and pays via Stripe. The borrow request is created. |
| Approve | Lender approves; borrower receives lender's phone number. |
| Decline | Lender declines; borrower is refunded the amount paid in full. |
| Confirm Pickup | Borrower confirms physical handover; the 26-day borrow period begins and the displayed lender payout is initiated. |
| Return | Borrower marks returned; lender confirms receipt; book becomes available again. |
Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
4. Borrow Period and Overdue Books
The borrow period is 26 days. A 3-day grace period follows before a book is marked overdue. If a book is not returned within the grace period, the account may be restricted from making further borrow requests until the book is returned or the matter is resolved.
5. Condition of Books
Lenders are responsible for listing books in accurately described condition. Borrowers must return books in the same condition they were received. Bokly does not mediate disputes over book condition — these are between the lender and borrower directly.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- ✕List books you do not own or do not have the right to lend
- ✕Create multiple accounts to circumvent account restrictions
- ✕Use the app for any unlawful purpose
7. Limitation of Liability
Bokly is a platform connecting lenders and borrowers. We are not liable for the condition of books, failed handovers, or disputes between users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the borrow in question.
8. Termination
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes will be resolved in Swedish courts.
